I have gone to the Pow Wow for the past several years. I didn't like the Rec Center because the acoustics were so bad I couldn't understand the announcer. It was better at Carver. I there at 4:00, no dancing or drumming going on, and the food booth seemed to be taking a break. I did enjoy visiting with the vendors, in particular, the beef jerky booth-- the vendor is very charming and great to chat with. I completely understand that pow wows are for the tribes and family time. So there will be down time, but it should be explained in the promotional materials, so visitors know when the dance exhibitions and competitions will be going on, and the drumming. Just some thoughts for next year- I'll be there!
