Deaf Education—A Panel Discussion

Join us for a panel discussion about the variety of experiences and challenges d/Deaf children have in school in Iowa. Panelists will include educators of deaf/hard of hearing children, educational interpreters, and parents of deaf children. Topics of discussion will include language access, quality and competency of educational staff, effective use of interpreters, and family engagement. Attendees will be encouraged to ask questions.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact AmyRuth McGraw in advance at amyruth-mcgraw@uiowa.edu.
