Hawkeye Lunch & Learn: Win. Graduate. Do It Right.

You are invited to the upcoming Hawkeye Lunch & Learn lecture titled Win. Graduate. Do It Right., presented by Liz Tovar, Associate Athletics Director for Academic Services. This lecture is free and open to the public, however, an RSVP is encouraged.

Student-athletes face unique challenges in balancing schedules, prioritizing responsibilities, and maintaining healthy lifestyles. For this reason, the University of Iowa provides extensive academic and personal support services to student-athletes. Dr. Tovar will discuss how the Office of Student-Athlete Academic Services is helping to mold today's Hawkeyes into tomorrow's leaders and why support resources are vital to reaching this mission. Dr. Tovar will also highlight unique and important partnerships with campus units and surrounding communities that elevate Hawkeye success.

A tour of the Gerdin Athletic Learning Center will begin immediately following the lecture at 1:30pm. The tour group will meet on the first floor of the Gerdin Athletic Learning Center. View information for parking and directions here: https://maps.uiowa.edu/galc. If you would like to take the cambus to GERDIN, you can get on a Red Route, Interdorm, or Hawkeye Interdorm cambus route at Stop 1021 (Pappajohn Business Building). All routes will take you to Stop 2080  (Rienow Hall), which is a short walk from GERDIN.

It was interesting to learn about the University's strong commitment to helping it athletes excel not only in the classroom, during competition and in life. It makes me proud of our athletes that take advantage of the great opportunities offered at the U of I.
