Hawkeye Lunch & Learn: Women in Technology
You are invited to the upcoming Hawkeye Lunch & Learn lecture titled Women in Technology, presented by Tonya Peeples, Professor and Associate Dean for Diversity and Outreach at the College of Engineering. This lecture is free and open to the public, however, an RSVP is encouraged.

Professor Tonya Peeples will share her story and facilitate a panel discussion of strategies to increase the engagement of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Local, statewide, regional, and national efforts designed to increase participation of women in STEM will be presented. A panel will discuss the challenges and opportunities in “cradle to career” services to girls and women through mentoring networks, teacher training, and innovative programs that aim to increase access to educational and career opportunities. This lecture is sponsored by the University of Iowa Provost's Office of Outreach & Engagement.
