Latinx Educational Excellence in the Midwest Conference and Professional Development Institute

This conference aims to build community and pool resources focused on increasing the success and participation of Latinx students, staff, administrators, and faculty in K–12 and higher education institutions in the Midwest.

In partnership with the annual Latinx Youth Summit, the conference will provide resources through research presentations, panel discussions, poster displays, and professional development to increase awareness, develop strategies, and share best practices in addressing the educational needs of Latinx students in the region and is open to all educators, students, and community members.

This Professional Development Institute is Day 2 of the Professional Development Institute that will occur on October 18 in the Iowa Memorial Union.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Nadine Petty in advance atnadine-petty@uiowa.edu or 319-335-3555.
