Develop practical skills for engaging UI International students in this workshop drawing the experience of Rhetoric’s Conversation Center partners. Since its 2016 inception, the Conversation Center has seen over 100 confident English-speaking undergrads host nearly 600 grad and undergrad international students in over 4,000 one-on-one conversations. This session draws on both the international education literature, grounding it in the concrete experience of those 100 conversation partners over the last few years to help you engage and support international students at the University of Iowa.
