This session will introduce participants to the culture of the Caribbean Island countries through a series of brief presentations. Participants will learn about the history, traditions, values, and norms of the countries presented in the session. Participants will hear about the day to day life and have the opportunity to ask questions of the presenters.
Participants who attend this session will be able to:
- articulate a brief overview of the history, culture, and traditions of Caribbean Island countries
- compare and contrast the cultural differences between Caribbean Island countries
- understand some of the experiences of international students from Caribbean Island countries studying at the University of Iowa
