U.S "federal agents raided Midwest Precast Concrete on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, taking 32 men into custody. Immigration & Customs Enforcement says the men are in the country illegally and came from Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Mexico" (Marlon Hall/KCRG-TV9). The Center for Human Rights and the College of Law present a panel that discusses the impact of this raid and will be led by speakers Include: Rev. Trey Hegar, First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Pleasant, Tammy Shull, Iowa WINS, Mt. Pleasant, and Natalia Espina, Eastern Iowa Community Bond Project.
