Bibliophiles: for those who love books

Join Iowa Bibliophiles for guest speaker Lindsay Moen!

"The Publication History of The Tale of Peter Rabbit"

Join Lindsay Moen, Public Services Librarian and lifelong Beatrix Potter collector, in a discussion of the unique publication history of Beatrix Potter's beloved children's book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit. From unlikely beginnings to becoming one of the best-selling children's books of all time, learn how a simple letter becomes a worldwide merchandising phenomenon. Featured along with numerous editions from Moen's private collection will be Iowa's own treasure, a first printing of The Tale of Peter Rabbit, one of only 250 in existence.

Coffee and light refreshments will be available beginning at 6:30 pm, with the evening’s talk starting at 7:00 pm.

All Iowa Bibliophiles meetings are free and open to the public.
