APRIL M. WATSON is curator of photography at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, where she has curated and co-curated numerous exhibitions. Selected projects include Anthony Hernandez: L.A. Landscapes; Eugene Richards: The Run-On of Time, a retrospective with accompanying catalogue co-organized with the George Eastman Museum, Rochester; Through the Lens: Visions of African American Experience, 1950–1970; Impressionist France: Visions of Nation from Le Gray to Monet, an exhibition and publication co-organized with the Saint Louis Art Museum; and Heartland: The Photographs of Terry Evans, a retrospective with accompanying catalogue. Watson has held curatorial research positions at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C., and the Center for Creative Photography, Tucson.
