After unleashing catastrophic destruction on the known world, the Tatted Pretty Boy Trinity seek absolution from the God of Innocence at her fountain. They quickly learn, however, that their destruction may have irreparably tainted its waters and that the only rule of "drink but do not touch" will test the limits of their desire, and desire itself.

Iowa New Play Festival readings are free and open to the public. However, you must obtain a ticket and seating is limited. Tickets will be available at the door 30 minutes prior to each reading or during Festival Box Office hours on Monday, April 29 and Tuesday, April 30 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

For more than forty years, the University of Iowa Department of Theatre Arts has presented an annual festival centered on producing, reading, and analyzing new scripts from the Iowa Playwrights Workshop. Preparing eleven new plays and presenting them in a single week is a monumental undertaking that is only possible through the utilization of UI Department of Theatre Arts’ wide-ranging resources in acting, directing, design, dramaturgy, stage management, and technical support. Through staged readings, workshops, and productions, Festival showcases the process of new play development.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact in advance at
