Iowa City River Cleanup to Celebrate Earth Day 2019!

To celebrate Earth Day we are hosting a river cleanup on 4/20 from 1-3pm. Meet at the front of the Old Capitol Museum (the east side) on the Pentacrest. We'll take off together from there promptly at 1:15pm.
We will be cleaning trash around Ralston Creek, which is within walking distance and runs into the Iowa River. The event is on Saturday instead of Monday (Earth Day) so more folks can join in the fun!
This free eco-friendly event is hosted by 2 local Iowa City startups: Eco-Stylist and Clean River Solutions.
It is sponsored by the awesome folks at United By Blue who are providing us with 20 cleanup kits. Cleanup kits include gloves and bags for both trash and recycling. United By Blue is a national brand based in Philadelphia, PA. Their mission is to cleanup our waterways and they do this by removing a pound of trash from waterways for every single item they sell.
