On April 30, four Path Forward work groups will publicly present at an open forum about the progress they’ve made over the previous year. Since spring 2018, these work groups have collaborated with campus partners to complete or advance selected tasks from the UI Strategic Plan 2016-2021.

All University of Iowa students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend the open forum, provide feedback, and make suggestions regarding what tasks the work groups should target in the coming year.

Last year, each Path Forward work group identified two to four critical tasks in the strategic plan and compiled them in a 2018 Work Plan that focused their efforts. In addition to being reviewed at the forum, details on the tasks and progress made are available in the updated 2018 Work Plan.

Progress made by the work groups includes but is not limited to identifying critical competencies for ensuring student success, collecting best practices for post-doctoral fellowships, planning expanded engagement with Iowans, and assessing campus efforts at supporting first-generation and underrepresented students.

Anyone unable to attend the forum is invited to share their thoughts online at Path Forward contact page.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact in advance at
