The Iowa Institute of Human Genetics is hosting an informational event on the Future of Personalized Genomic Medicine: Applying to Genetic Counseling Graduate Programs on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. During this event, a panel of genetic counselors from around the state will speak about their experience applying to genetic counseling training programs, their daily activities, as well as their role in personalized genomic medicine. Over 15 genetic counselors from across the state of Iowa, plus our current genetic counseling interns and rotating graduate students will be participating in the event. This opportunity is a great way for students to discuss first-hand the application process, job growth and ask questions in a small group setting.
