Science Communicators

Free screening of the Communicating Science series Thursday, July 25th at 3pm in the Old Capitol Museum Senate Chamber.

10 Students participating in a grant-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates program by the National Science Foundation have been exploring evolutionary science research at The University of Iowa this summer. In addition to the research they are participating in with their various mentors in labs across campus, these students have been meeting weekly with the Museum of Natural History staff to produce their own short videos for a film series called "Communicating Science."

Their videos aim to communicate science in fun, accessible, approachable ways; offering a window into research labs at The University of Iowa while sharing their own personal experiences. Each student will premiere a 3 minute video at the screening.

All are welcome and we hope to host a full house as these students share their journeys along with some absolutely amazing research taking place on our campus.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact in advance at
