In 1919, protests have challenged the rule of British Raj in Punjab, India, and Lt. Governor Michael O’Dwyer creates the conditions for a massacre in Amritsar to send a message. Over 1000 innocent people are slaughtered at the harvest festival where Udham Singh is witness to the suffering. Thus begins his journey to find peace for himself and justice for the victims that takes him to Africa and around the world, Europe, and the United States, gathering support for the movement until there can only be justice when the man responsible for the massacre at Amritsar is himself assassinated.
This performance will use a prop gun and the sound of gunshots will be heard. Theatrical haze and strobe lighting effects will also be used.
