Dr. Susan Dorsey is the Visiting Scholar for CAMS and the College of Nursing Pain T32. Dr. Dorsey is the Chair of the Department of Pain and Translational Symptom Science, Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology in the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and Professor in the Department of Neural and Pain Sciences in the UMD School of Dentistry. She will present information about the current focus of her research lab which includes preclinical mechanistic, and clinical intervention studies, which are designed to identify new therapeutic targets and test potential treatments that can be used to improve or ameliorate chronic pain.
The College of Nursing’s Research Forums and Research Luncheon events are presented approximately once a month throughout the academic year. They provide a forum for doctoral students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty and staff across UIowa’s campus to learn about topics relevant to the research endeavor. This event is open to all.nursin
