The Department of Cinematic Arts is pleased to announce the first screening of Film Club for the Fall Semester.  Film Club is a 1-credit course for students, but is also open to the general public. The theme for this semester's screening series is British genre cinema from 1945 to the present. The first selection of screenings is on British comedy,  and the inaugural film is the classic dark comedy from Ealing studios: Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949). Watch the nefarious Louis  D'Ascoyne Mazzini attempt to murder his way to the top of the aristocratic family that once betrayed him. Watch Alec Guiness take on nine roles as he plays every member of the family standing in Louis's way. Watch one of the most cherished, and wittiest, British comedy films ever produced. The film will be followed by a post-screening discussion.
