Lunch & Learn: Accountable Communities of Health
Oct 25, 2019
11:45 AM - 01:00 PM
310 South Grand Avenue, Iowa City, IA 52246
Summer Scholar teamSato Ashida (Community and Behavioral Health), Caitlin Ward (Biostatistics), Tessa Heeren (Public Policy Center), and Daniel Sewell (Biostatistics) will present a Lunch and Learn session on Accountable Communities of Health.
In 2016, Iowa adopted a promising healthcare innovation practice by establishing seven Accountable Communities of Health (ACH) sites across the state. Accountable Communities of Health establish multi-sector coalitions to address non-clinical issues that impact health outcomes. Our research uses network analysis to quantify the inter-organizational relationships which facilitate comprehensive care coordination. Factors associated with sustainable ACH sites and policy recommendations are identified.
Lunch will be provided and served at 11:45. The presentation will begin at noon. If you plan to attend, please contact leslie-gannon@uiowa.edu by September 17, and please note any dietary restrictions.
Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact in advance at
