The 2019 fall philanthropy talk, featuring University of Iowa head men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffery and his wife Margaret McCaffery, will take place on Tuesday, October 15. This moderated discussion will be held from 7 – 8 p.m. in the Main Lounge of the Iowa Memorial Union. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The McCafferys want to help find a cure for cancer. Learn more about their work with the American Cancer Society and Coaches vs. Cancer—and their role in creating a new cancer center for adolescents and young adults at Iowa.

Each spring and fall a UI philanthropist shares their story on giving back and empowering others. These programs highlight the impact of philanthropy and inspire our campus community to engage with philanthropy in their own lives.
