Kinnick is the University of Iowa's only Heisman Trophy winner thus far, an Ironman of Ironmen dyring the 1939 football season. A Phy Beta Kappa scholar, Kinnick was elected presdient of his senior class for the College of Liberal Arts. For an indiviidual who died so young during WW II, he had an inate ability to formulate significant thoughts about events from 1936 to 1943. Kinnick set goals for himself, was disciplined, and dedicated in everything he attempted.
