Presenting: "Women, Work, and the World in the 2020 Campaign"

Anne-Marie Slaughter is a Princeton University Foreign Policy Expert, former top official at the U.S. State Department, author, and work-life leader who confronts a range of topics — from geopolitics and global challenges to gender equality, the future of work, and leadership — with a unique and powerful voice.

She is the Bert G. Kerstetter University Professor Emerita of Politics and International Affairs at Princeton and the first female Dean of Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School. Slaughter received her doctorate in International Relations from Oxford and her law degree from Harvard before teaching at University of Chicago and Harvard Law Schools. She is a member of the Aspen Strategy Group, on the board of Abt Associates, and is one of the five members of the PIMCO International Advisory Board.

Anne-Marie Slaughter will present as an Ida Codelia Beam Visiting Distinguished Professor. The event is sponsored by the Department of Political Science and co-sponsored by the UI Public Policy Center (PPC).
