Intercultural Social Hour is a low-stakes group conversation between confident English speakers and English language learners, meant to work on casual English skills, and celebrate intercultural engagement at Iowa. It also offers preparation for interacting with patients in both informal and formal settings. Please bring your thoughts, opinions, and experiences to share with the group.
Attend eight out of ten sessions over two semesters, and receive a certificate of recognition from Dean Letendre!

March 5: Medical misinformation
April 2: Thinking about access and disability
April 9: Dealing with difficult patients
April 30: Cultural competence
