“Wildest Dreams: Developing Lattice Field Theory on Quantum Computers” 

Abstract: The advent of quantum computing for scientific research presents the possibility of calculating timedependent observables in quantum field theories like viscosity and parton distributions.  In order to utilize this new tool, a number of theoretical and practical issues must be addressed related to efficiently digitize, initialize, propagate, and evaluate quantum field theory.  In this talk, I will discuss a number of projects being undertaken by the NuQS collaboration to realize calculations on NISQ era and beyond quantum computers.
