Iowa: Literary Legends

Iowa: Literary Legends is an exclusive virtual event featuring the University of Iowa’s Marilynne Robinson (17LHD), winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the National Humanities Medal. She will read from her eagerly anticipated new novel, Jack, the final book in her canon of contemporary American fiction set in the mythical Gilead, Iowa:

“The fourth in Robinson’s luminous, profound Gilead series and perhaps the best yet, [Jack is] a sad story about love, race, and Midwestern mores.”—The Observer

Lynette Marshall, president and chief executive officer of the University of Iowa Center for Advancement, will be the evening’s host, and participants will have an opportunity to ask the author questions after the reading.

Please register for this special event today! To purchase a copy of the novel, visit Iowa City’s Prairie Lights bookstore.
