Community of Color
The Center for Diversity & Enrichment (CDE) is sending warm wishes your way and we hope you’ll be able to join us for our annual Community of Color event this ?academic year. This social event is usually held in the fall in an effort to bring staff, faculty, and students together in community. This year, the event will be held during the first week of spring 2021 classes, on January 28 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm via ZOOM. We are excited to provide a welcome and a brief update from Dr. Elizabeth Tovar, Interim Associate Vice President, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. We will also be hearing from various multicultural student organizations across campus. If you are a student club or organization that would like to talk about your group at this event, please let us know. Tab?itha Wiggins, Interim Executive Director of CDE, will be our emcee for the event. There will also be door prizes! We look forward to seeing you soon!
Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact in advance at
