Resurface|Remember
Created by Mariko Ishikawa
Resurface|Remember is a culmination of yearlong research in understanding the dancing body's relation to the earth. The multifaceted process paved way for the final product, two solos that are separate but related to each other. The first solo is building a relationship with the natural environment through a deepening of my body-consciousness, understanding the movement language of the natural elements, and questioning my place as a human being in natural settings. The second solo explores the concept of remembering my interaction with, and embodiment of natural elements, including water, air, and land in a non-natural, performative setting.
Ruin
Choreography by Kate Vincek, in collaboration with Tatum Beynon and Juliet Remmers
