Events Calendar

Each year, CDE Graduation recognizes undergraduate, graduate, and professional students graduating throughout the academic year (fall 2020, spring 2021, or summer 2021) so we can celebrate them and honor all that they’ve achieved while at UI. Please join us in a virtual Zoom ceremony on Wednesday, May 12, from 6-8pm CDT and help us cheer them on!

The ceremony will consist of keynote remarks from both an alum and a graduating student, recognition for winners of our three awards, and of course the traditional reading of names to celebrate each graduate. In the event that you’re unable to attend, the full ceremony will be recorded so you can view anytime. In addition to the ceremony, we’ll also be creating a permanent website to further commemorate the graduates; this link will be shared closer to the event.

Your access to this celebration is very important to us. A real-time ASL interpreter will be present for our reception, and we are planning to utilize Zoom's automatic closed captioning feature. We are also ensuring that all the content on our website is screen reader–accessible.
