College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Commencement Ceremony
Doors open one hour prior to the start of the ceremony. No tickets required.
All College of Liberal Arts and Sciences students will be recognized; University College will also be attending the ceremony.
Dean Sara Sanders and President Barbara Wilson will confer degrees at the ceremony, which includes graduates in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, College of Public Health, and University College.
The student speaker will be David Roth, of Peosta, Iowa, who will receive a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with University Honors and Highest Distinction. Christian Frankl, of Ames, Iowa, will perform the national anthem. Frankl is the Hawkeye Marching Band drum major and will graduate with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Music, Political Science, and Ethics and Public Policy.
