Earth Day Litter Clean Up and Audit

When:  Anytime between Thursday, April 22 and Sunday, April 25

Where:  Clean up anywhere!  Please avoid river banks.

How To Participate:  

• Find a spot to clean up
• Get supplies (gloves, bags, masks available at Hubbard Park from 10AM-2PM, April 22-25)
• Download the Litterati app and join the challenge
• Photograph and pick up litter
• Dispose of litter! Place litter in your household trash, or bring it to the Hubbard Park drop off point.

Why Volunteer:

• Contribute to a Graduate Student's Research Project
• Earn volunteer hours (click here to volunteer to clean up and/or staff the supply distribution table)
• Clean up litter that might otherwise end up in our rivers and oceans
• Help document the most common types of litter in your area to better inform litter prevention programs
