Facilitating Challenging Conversations in the Classroom
Having difficult conversations can help build inclusive and productive classrooms. We will explore managing discussions that involve emotionally charged, controversial topics and hurtful comments. Participants will learn evidence-based strategies for planning challenging conversations and handling unexpected moments.
The workshop will be held from noon to 1 p.m.; optional consulting with Center for Teaching staff will occur from 1 to 1:30 p.m.
