Find out what former Hawkeye football player Quinn Early (87BA) has been up to during an upcoming virtual event.
Early was a wide receiver for Iowa from 1984-1987. Since then, he’s played in the NFL, become a Kung Fu and Tai Chi expert, and has worked as a Hollywood stuntman, actor, and screenwriter.
Join Early over Zoom as he reminisces about his time as a Hawkeye and talks about his work since.
Early has written several screenplays including, The Angel of Harlem and the Hawkeye, which is the story of Frank Kinney Holbrook, Iowa’s first Black intercollegiate athlete. He also recently completed his first film, Just Bake Cookies.
Early is a passionate Alzheimer’s advocate. In 2019, he launched the Ann Early Intervention Foundation in memory of his mother who died from the disease. He also published a book that she wrote with sales benefiting the fight against Alzheimer’s.
Chat from the Old Cap is a series of virtual engagement sessions featuring Iowa alumni and friends sharing stories from their careers, backgrounds, and the university that unites us.
