Environmental Justice Panel at the One Sustainable Iowa Conference

The Office of Sustainability and the Environment is excited to announce that the 2022 One Sustainable Iowa Conference organizers are proud to partner with the Underrepresented Students in Sustainability mentorship program to host an Environmental Justice panel on Saturday, April 9 from 2:40 to 3:25 pm in W151 Pappajohn Business Building. The Panel will include campus faculty and experts who will speak on environmental justice, their research, and experiences.

- Dr. Silvia Secchi, Department of Geographical & Sustainability Science, College of Liberal Arts & Sciences
- Dr. Shannon Watkins, Department of Community & Behavioral Health, College of Public Health
Each panelist will have the opportunity to speak for about 10 minutes about environmental justice, their research, experience, and more! The remainder of the session will be an engaging Q+A session led by the student leaders of the Underrepresented Students in Sustainability mentorship program.

About the Conference:
Registration is now open for the 2022 One Sustainable Iowa Conference, which will take place on Saturday, April 9th from 9am-4pm on the University of Iowa campus. The goal of the Conference is to connect students throughout Iowa who have interests in sustainability. All students, faculty, and staff from any higher ed institution in Iowa are invited to attend this Conference. Information about the Conference can be found here: https://www.onesustainableiowa.com/.
