Cavani String Quartet
This concert is being presented as part of the University of Iowa String Quartet Residency Program.
The Cavani String Quartet will be collaborating with University of Iowa string students (below) to present the Shostakovich Octet and Bop for Bridge. Bop for Bridge is a work written for the Cavani by Josh Henderson, who was a recent UI Grant Wood Fellow in Interdisciplinary Performance. The Cavani String Quartet will also perform The Clarity of Hope, a string quartet composed by Ching-chu Hu, who grew up in Iowa City and is a 1996 MFA grad from the School of Music.
