Second Annual BioBlitz at Ashton Prairie Reserve
Bring your family and join researchers in collecting, observing, and recording biodiversity during our second annual BioBlitz, at the Ashton Prairie site. You can do everything from examining insects under professional microscopes to identifying various species. You also will learn more about our vision for the prairie restoration project. The University of Iowa Center for Advancement is proud to partner with a range of university and community partners for this event.
The prairie, which is part of the Ashton cross country course, is located west of the former facility, Finkbine Golf Course, and adjacent to the University’s West Campus. Park in commuter lot 85 at 3350 Hawkeye Park Road.
