Program and Objectives

This course addresses breakthrough concepts and details the skills necessary for acquiring the expertise and confidence to perform the highest quality endodontics while focusing on “dentin preservation” using a NEW rotary nickel-titanium instrumentation system. Also, to be discussed, will be safe and predictable irrigation protocols using passive sonic irrigation and apical negative pressure irrigation systems. Join us to hear about endodontic advancements and concepts that lead to successful endodontic treatments that last a lifetime. Tips and Tricks and MANY case presentations will be included in the lecture.

NOTE: “LIVE” taped procedures will be shown to maximize the learning experience.

At the completion of this presentation, the participants should be able to:

  • Assess the criteria for a successful endodontic procedure;
  • Discuss how to perform a systematic diagnostic protocol and treatment plan;
  • Summarize emergency endodontic care;
  • Accurately locate the apical constriction, and troubleshooting tips;
  • Describe how to shape the root canal space in a safe and efficient manner using a new rotary NiTi system which focuses on “dentin preservation;”
  • Review how to remove the smear layer and biofilm using state of the art irrigation protocols which include apical negative pressure delivery and sonic irrigant activation systems; and
  • Discuss how to obturate the root canal system in 3D utilizing the continuous wave of condensation.
