Portraits of curators Natasa and Lisa. The text says Curator Talk with Natasa Durovicova and Lisa Gardinier.

Join Nataša Durovicová and Lisa Gardinier, co-curators of A Hub, a Network, an Archive: 55 Years of International Writers in Iowa City, for a behind-the-scenes look at their research journey through the Paul Engle Papers, the lesser-known International Writing Program Records in the University of Iowa Libraries Special Collections & Archives, and the two decades of digital records in IWP’s own files. The exhibit focuses on IWP's role in cultural diplomacy, the role of IWP residents in the cultural life of Iowa City, and the networks created by translation and other initiatives.

Learn how the Fall 2022 Main Library Gallery exhibit came to be, hear about the history of Iowa’s renowned International Writing Program, and discover more about the curators’ favorite items from the archives – including things that didn’t quite make the cut for exhibition.

Registration is required to attend this free virtual event.
