Join Bijou Film Board and Student Advocates for Planned Parenthood for our screening of Never Rarely Sometimes Always!

Faced with an unintended pregnancy and a lack of local support, Autumn (Sidney Flanigan) and her cousin, Skylar (Talia Ryder), travel from their home in rural Pennsylvania to New York City to seek medical help on a fraught journey of friendship, bravery and compassion. From Eliza Hittman, the acclaimed director of Beach Rats (2017), this powerful drama is an empathetic and emotionally resonant portrayal of female friendship and personal choice.

Bijou Film Board is a nonprofit, student-run organization dedicated to the exhibition of independent, foreign, and classic cinema. We partner with organizations on campus and in the greater Iowa City community to bring special cinematic events to the University of Iowa, promoting film education and conversation.

Student Advocates for Planned Parenthood (SAPP) strives to raise public awareness about reproductive health and justice through events, educating young people about sexual health, and mobilizing advocates for reproductive freedom in the Iowa City community. The organization works through an intersectional lens, which helps them to recognize and capitalize on the intersection of progressive movements.

All Bijou programming is FREE for UI students and $8 for the general public, screened at FilmScene (at the Chauncey) at 404 E College St.

Free student tickets for Partnership films must be claimed at the door. To purchase general admission tickets in advance, visit the FilmScene website at ic.filmscene.org/series-special-events/ .
