Art • Community • Earth

Together, we celebrate earth every day, but especially on Earth Day. Presented by the UI Office of Sustainability and the Environment, in partnership with UI Pentacrest Museums and Public Space One (PS1 a local, artist-led, community-driven, contemporary art center), we invite the corridor to join in celebration Saturday, April 22 for an afternoon of arts and entertainment. Just like art, this inclusive event has something for everyone, across disciplines, cultures, and generations.

Festivities include art, crafts, games, exhibits, readings, nature-inspired demonstrations, giveaways and more. Find the fun on the Pentacrest (East of Old Cap) and in Macbride Hall (on the ground floor):

Continuous from 1 p.m.-4 p.m.:

  • Community Flag Display and Flag Making Workshop (PS1)
  • Tree Seedling Giveaway (UI Landscape Services)
  • Clothing Scrap Craft (Corridor Community Action Network)
