The Eastern Iowa Airport (also known as CID) is thrilled to announce the newest nonstop flight to Washington, D.C. beginning June 1, 2023! To celebrate this exciting news, University of Iowa students in the Event Management Workshop course have planned an event with CID to raise awareness about this new service. We are excited to showcase their hard work and dedication at the FLY D.C. event, and we invite you and your families to join us from 3-6 p.m. Monday, April 3, at Hubbard Park.  

At the event, faculty and staff can enter to win a $300 CID gift card or luggage set, as well as enjoy free refreshments including cupcakes, cookies, and jet juice. In addition, there will be a paper airplane contest with prizes for all to enjoy.  

Don’t miss out on this exciting event! It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the new nonstop flight and plan your upcoming trips to the nation’s capital while supporting student work.
