Safety Week

The College of Pharmacy presents "Safety Week" for faculty, staff, and students.

Monday, June 5 (College of Pharmacy Building Fire Drill)
The rally point for the College of Pharmacy building (CPB) is the grassy area between CPB and Hillcrest dorm on the east side of the building.

Tuesday, June 6 (CPR & AED Usage)
Join Bruce McAvoy the University of Iowa Fire Safety Coordinator as he familiarizes us with basic CPR and AED usage.

Wednesday, June 7 (Fire Extinguisher Safety)
Bruce McAvoy is going to be in-house again to teach us about fire extinguishing training. See if you can get the best time as you try out the BullEx “BullsEye” electronic fire extinguishing training system.

Thursday, June 8 (Stop the Bleed Training)
Bruce McAvoy is back for Stop the Bleed training. This training provides “bystanders of emergency situations with the tools and knowledge to stop the life-threatening bleeding.”

Friday, June 9 (Naloxone Training)
Our very own Ben Miskle will be teaching us about Naloxone, its use, and locations in the buildings.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact in advance at
