The Things They Carry Ruck March
This year the University of Iowa Veterans Association will again be teaming up with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Student Veterans Organization to ruck march the game ball from Kinnick Stadium to Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska, for the Nov. 24 football game. Ruckers will be carrying 22 pounds or 22 items to honor the 22 Veterans who take their own lives every day. 22 will be made up of personal belongings that hold significant meaning to their personal military experience or which honors the service of friends or family. Iowa’s part of the leg will take place Nov. 15-19.
