Description: Public education is at the core of the services that museums provide. Join Bridget Nash, Education Specialist for the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum, in a virtual exploration of the educational role of museums, which will include a discussion of how education theory is used in museum programming and how museums offer an alternative classroom in which to engage students in the learning process. Then, join Bridget on-site (at the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum) for an optional tour of the museum and archives and a short demonstration of how you can utilize these spaces as resources for you and your students. This session is capped at 20 students.
