Join the Office of Teaching, Learning, and Technology at ICON Day 2024. 

ICON Day will promote excellence in teaching and learning through effective adoption and use of instructional technology at the University of Iowa. Attendees will hear from thought leaders, explore strategies to integrate technology, learn about campus resources, and interact with peers. During this event, we'll also recognize our 2024 ICON All Stars.

Our keynote speaker is Kate McDowell, an associate professor at the School of Information Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. McDowell is an expert in the art of storytelling, storytelling consulting for organizations, and teaching data storytelling. She will offer guidance for teaching data storytelling and promoting data literacy across a broad range of fields, from the humanities to the sciences.

Whether planning your curriculum, building an ICON site, or engaging students in and outside of class this event will provide actionable strategies that you can incorporate into your teaching.
