hagoromo an exhibition by Junli Song, Grant Wood Fellow '23-'24

Grant Wood Fellow, Junli Song, will present a solo exhibition in the Drewelowe Gallery, Visual Arts Building. As an artist and storyteller, she works across a range of media from printmaking to installation to explore imagined worlds and personal mythologies. Song’s work exists within a creative universe called the In-Between Cosmos, an imaginary realm where the liminal becomes a space of alternative existence.

Hagoromo continues weaving the same narrative threads from her exhibition, Death Like Dreaming, from the year prior. This upcoming show invites viewers to step away from the corporeal world and into the spirit realm through a large-scale installation exploring light, reflectivity, and materiality. Hagoromo will be held in the Drewelowe Gallery in the Visual Arts Building from April 20 to 26, with a closing reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 26.

You can learn more about the artist at her website and Instagram: www.artsofsong.com and @artsofsong
