2024 College of Pharmacy White Coat Ceremony

The College of Pharmacy will host a special ceremony to welcome the Class of 2028 into the pharmacy profession and college family on Aug. 24.
Keynote Speaker: Randy McDonough, '87 BSPh, '97 MS, '00 PharmD
McDonough is chief executive officer and co-owner of Towncrest Iowa City, Solon Towncrest, Towncrest LTC, Towncrest Wellness Apothecary, Bennett Pharmacies, and Cornerstone Apothecary pharmacies. He is also co-founder/co-owner of Innovative Pharmacy Solutions, where he oversees strategic direction, health care partnerships, and financial oversight for the corporation. He was the founding faculty for the Iowa Center for Pharmaceutical Care, serves as director of Practice Transformation for the Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services Network’s (CPESN-USA’s) Flip the Pharmacy Program, and is president-elect for the American Pharmacists Association. McDonough is highly recognized for his work in helping community pharmacies transform their practices to implement and support patient care services.
