In the heart of America’s opioid epidemic, four men attempt to reinvent their lives and mend broken relationships after years of drug abuse, in an intimate look at the strength, brotherhood, and courage that it takes to overcome addiction that lays bare the internal conflict of recovery. There will be a tribute to those we’ve lost before the viewing and panel discussion to follow.
Community Collaborations is an ongoing series of engaging cinematic events in partnership with nonprofits, advocacy groups, passionate individuals, and community organizations to generate conversation and action inspired by film. Presented in partnership with UI Addiction and Recovery Collaborative (UI ARC), UI Internal Medicine, JCPP, Community and Family Resources, Guidelink Center, UnityPoint Health, and FilmScene.
