The welcome ceremony will greet alumni and participants of the Latino Native American Alumni Alliance Reunion. University of Iowa President Barbara Wilson will introduce moderator Brenda Child and guest speakers Joy Harjo, Sandra Cisneros, and Juan Felipe Herrera. Tribal Elder Alex Walker of the Meskwaki Nation will offer a blessing, and there will be an overview of the reunion weekend activities.
