Executive Functioning in Relation to High Ability Students

Description: In this presentation, we will explore Executive Functioning — what it is, why it is important, and how it relates to students of high ability. We will specifically discuss how these skills, or the lack of them, impact students’ learning in addition to their social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
Learning Goals: 1) Define executive functioning. 2) Understand the impact on social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
