Towards an Approximation for Multipartite Entanglement Entropy
Zane Ozzello; University of Iowa
In quantum physics, entanglement entropy is involved in several areas of active research. However, it is experimentally difficult to calculate this quantity. Recent work proposes a method of approximating the entanglement entropy for a bipartite system from the Shannon entropy of this system, which is found using the experimental probabilities that could be retrieved from simulation. This work will be discussed, and then methods of extending this approximation to a multipartite system will be shown. Examples will be shown applying this method for different systems, and additional features of the approximation will be discussed.
